Workshop on Construction in Earthquake-Prone Regions of the World
In the context of the European Project EQUALJOINTS+, the RWTH Institute for Steel Construction is hosting a workshop on construction in earthquake-prone regions. The workshop is aimed at structural engineers and testing engineers in the areas of superstructure work, industrial construction, or structural engineering. The topics to be discussed are linear and nonlinear dynamic analysis according to Eurocode 8. A special focus is on the earthquake-resistent design of typical junctions. The program encompasses eight training units according to the regulations of the NRW Chamber of Engineering and is approved as professional development course for engineers under regulation No. 46916.
