Visit at ISABC14 in Toulouse Bio VI From left: Professor Takashi Hayashi from Department of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, Assistant Professor Koji Oohora, Shota Hirayama, Daniel Sauer, Shunsuke Kato, Alexander Grimm und Stephanie Mertens.

Alexander Grimm and Stephanie Mertens joined the 14th International Symposium on Applied Bioinorganic Chemistry from 7th to 10th of June in Toulouse, France. Seven interesting sessions addressed topics on metals in bioinorganic chemistry like metal-based drugs, metalloenzymes and new methods around metals in biology. Alexander Grimm presented his work on protein engineering of FhuA and Nitrobindin for hybrid catalysts and Stephanie Mertens showed the latest results on selectivity in FhuA ΔCVFtev biohybrid catalyst. We are looking forward to the next International Symposium on Applied Bioinorganic Chemistry, which will take place from 2nd to 5th June in Nara, Japan).
