The Henkel Innovation Campus for Advanced Sustainable Technologies, short for HICAST, aims to develop novel and sustainable laundry detergents through a fundamental understanding of interactions among detergent components. The NGBC group is part of the HICAST consortium, providing basic research on the enzymes involved in laundry detergents. We collaborate extensively with the Computational Biology sub-division headed by Dr. Mehdi Davari to achieve a close linking of computationally and empirically acquired data.

In HICAST, we team up with…

  • Henkel AG & Co. KGaA
  • Prof. Dr. Walter Richtering – RWTH Aachen & DWI-Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials; Chair II, Physical Chemistry of Complex Fluids: Polymers & Colloids
  • Prof. Dr. Regina Palkovits – RWTH Aachen; Institute for Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry (ITMC)
  • Division Computational Biology – headed by Dr. Mehdi Davari
